This photo was taken handheld without a tripod with a Nikon Z7 and a Nikon 24-70 f4 lens. on a daylight. The picture was taken on the river Arno in Florence. When I looked at the kayak on the river and thought about how to photograph it, I was fascinated by the synchronization of the whole process, the movement of the oars, the circles that were made in the water and the elegant movement of the kayak through the water. I was delighted that I somehow managed to capture that moment and convey it in this photograph.
