Cerro Torre is one of the most iconic mountains in El Chalten (Argentina). Getting to Laguna Torre involves an eight kilometers hike, and if you want to see the sunrise you have to camp there. Climatic conditions are usually harsh, windy and cloudy.
This image is a composite. I took a photo of this man, who was in turn photographing the lake, but the day was cloudy and mountains could not be seen. The day after, when there was a beautiful clear sky, I took another photo from the same spot (obviously, without the man). I merged the two photos with usual postprocess adjustments (contrast, saturation, sharpening, denoise).
I think this photo represents well the concept of travelling to a far, wild, exotic place and enjoy the experience while taking some pictures.
