This photo was taken on a bitterly cold winter morning in the Bavarian Alpine foothills. I had to wait about 2.5 years for this, as it took so long to rebuild the boathouses after a devastating fire. These three huts are also a landmark of the entire region and are known far beyond. I chose the low camera position because I wanted to include the viewer in the picture via the foreground and also to exclude the sky, as there were no clouds that morning. I reduced the reflections on the water with a Kase polarizing filter.
I took the photos from a tripod to avoid camera shake.
