Another portrait of a good friend of ours, made in 2017 as part of a personal project documenting my generation of Pacific Islanders in Aotearoa New Zealand. She's an actress, activist and staunchly proud Māori woman. This image was made in our backyard at night, with one very old Hensel 1000w strobe at half power and a medium-sized softbox mounted high and roughly 45 degrees and 2 meters to her right.
