2.08 - "Needs Work"

During my travels in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh, I embarked on a hike that led me to a picturesque village inhabited solely by the Mro indigenous community. In this remote village, I discovered only one tube well, a stark reminder of the limited resources available to this close-knit community. Inside a cottage, I met 72-year-old grandmother Hoilo and her granddaughter Langrom. Hoilo was grappling with malnutrition, while Langrom suffered from a debilitating worm infection.Witnessing their struggles this indigenous cultures, are at risk of vanishing under the pressures of modernity and neglect. The plight of the Mro family serves as a call to action, reminding us that our humanity is intertwined with the well-being of others. Only by extending our hands and hearts can we hope to preserve the beauty and wisdom of all cultures, ensuring a vibrant tapestry of human experience for generations to come.

As the door is not possible to shut down so light was coming from both side and the child was agile so, it was very challenging for me to capture them in the hut.
