2.33 - "Needs Work"

This is another shot that is a part of a a tongue-in-cheek protest photo project. Water companies have been failing UK citizens with its responsibility to keeping our waters clean and safe for local wildlife and those with a connection to the water.

Each subject in this project has a connection to the water. Here Lydia, Saffron, and Als (centre) wild swimmers, represents the wild swimming community and their need for our waters to be sewage free and safe to swim in.

I needed the tide to be in the perfect spot so that the water would submerge the concrete jetty corner where I could place the toilet and have the jumpers launch themselves into the deeper water.

We were blessed with gorgeous lighting at the right time, and with my mother assisting the shoot, I shouted a "1, 2, 3..." I took the above photograph at the decisive moment....and with my camera shooting 20fps.

Shot with my Nikon Z 8 and Z 35 1.8 S lens. Iso 64, f5.6, 1/500s. Edited in Lightroom.
