This was a private portrait session in my tiny kitchen! I have a small 5x7 or so black popup background leaned against my kitchen table. I sat Jesse on a small stool and positioned a Godox V860II on a light stand to camera left slightly above and to the side with a cheap white foam board propped on a kitchen chair behind him on the right slightly reflecting upward for a very slight fill. I had him turn ever so slightly toward the camera. I have another shot with a bit more turned head and eyes showing, but I like the aesthetic of this position and the more mysterious gaze with glasses reflections.
Edit is a gentle vignette, exposure, simple curves adjustment with white balance and only the longest stray hair or two cloned out on the top of the head.
He was very happy with the set of shots we got and I think it shows you can get good results with little equipment and space.
