Harris Cooper is an author writing about the Durham Bulls baseball team in North Carolina. He could only meet for the shoot at a time when the stadium was backlit. This caused us to work in the shade which worked in my favor or hiding from terrible lens flare. I used a Sony A1 and a Sony 24-105 G lens with off camera flash. A HVL-FM60 provided enough power with a variable ND filter to keep my f-stop fairly open. With this image I moved the strobe off of Cooper and feathered it toward the baseball. It was used for the lead image on a news story about his book.
