I was visiting my sister in Kansas and had just returned to her house after spending the day out shooting. I sat in the living room cleaning my lenses and cameras when my niece walked in and joined the conversation I was having with my sister. She sat down on a sofa and after a few minutes I noticed she had drifted off and was gazing dreamily out the window. I slowly raised my camera to my eye, continuing to speak with my sister, so as not to disturb her and knocked off this image. The loud click of the shutter caused her to turn towards me and seeing me with my camera still raised and pointed at her, she smiled, and I managed to get a second very attractive image. Kodachrome 64, Nikon F, Nikkor 105mm f2.8 Macro lens.
