This was originally a toss-away photo from the day of the eclipse in April of 2024. Clouds kept rolling by, but we did get a show. These had somewhat blocked our view of bailey's beads and certainly the diamond ring effect. I was able to get a couple of lame shots of the beads. My best shots are of totality, and raters in my profile have given that shot nearly 4.5 points. In the end, I kept this shot, because it reminded me of an abstract cloud painting that used to hang on my wall as a kid.

Shot with a Tamron 150-600 on a tripod. At this time the solar filter had just come off. After taking off the filter I had switched to the programed C1 and to start exposure bracket setting, so it was cycling to different numbers. Of course I didn't plan on clouds being in my way.
