I’ve always been intrigued by the alien-like forms seen in science fiction, and that curiosity led me to create a concept at home that imagined how extraterrestrial life might evolve. I noticed some millipedes in our garden and used the soap bubble technique over a glass bowl to simulate a kind of alien chamber where organisms are formed or incubated. I shot this using a Fujifilm XT2 that I borrowed from a friend, with its kit lens focused manually. For lighting, I used artificial light from my laptop screen, which I set to a glowing green gradient and placed above the glass bowl. This added an eerie sci-fi effect and gave life to the transparent soap structures. It was difficult to keep the bubbles intact while working with live insects, as they would often move unpredictably or knock over the setup. I had to work quickly and with care. What emerged was a surreal image where nature and imagination intersect—a glimpse into a fictional origin story crafted from very real elements.
