Wave Surge Cloud. We have had a very active thunderstorm season. I had driven home from a meeting and saw this giant Supercell building just a short distance from my home. There was no time to get in my truck and go to where I would have an unobstructed view of the whole thing; these are monster storms and they move and change very quickly. I took out my i-Phone and made a few exposures of details of the cloud. This is the storm that dumped 8 inches of rain on Ruidoso, New Mexico in 80 minutes causing a flood surge that was 20+feet, and washing away large portions of the village. It reminded me of a huge roller in the ocean. Remarkable storm, as dangerous as it was beautiful.
