Red Pulse
A fleeting gesture, a breath between beats—Red Pulse captures the spirit of flamenco not in form, but in feeling. Using a Canon R5, 85mm f/1.2 lens, Profoto D2 lighting, and a 1.6-second dragged shutter, I sought to translate motion into memory, and rhythm into abstraction.

The dancer is barely defined, wrapped in waves of crimson that echo both the power and vulnerability of flamenco’s essence. Fabric becomes fire, the body becomes wind—movement is no longer confined by limbs but expands into something more ephemeral and raw.

There is no stage, no audience—only the echo of a presence suspended in darkness. It is not a portrait, but a pulse. A visual ode to duende: the soul force that rises in moments of deep artistic expression.

This is flamenco unbound.
