The Giant's Causeway in Ireland is a tricky spot to get to oneself, unless you arrive there around 4am in the middle of August!
Armed with my Fujifilm GFX 100 and GF30mm F5.6 Tilt Shift lens I starting looking for compositions which could show the contrast within the seemingly uniform basalt columns around me.
I settled for this juxtaposition of columns on two different tidal levels.
The closer columns were covered in this lighter coloured lichens, whilst the background columns were almost jet black. Using the tilt function of the lens, I layed the focus plane across the tops of the columns for front to back sharpness.
