My photography is inspired by the paintings of Georgia O’Keeffe, who often cropped her flower pictures so tightly that forms and shapes took priority over the subject of the flower itself. This is a dahlia flower converted to black and white, with the tonal scale inverted so that the darkest center of the flower becomes the brightest. Nikon D800E, Sigma 105 Macro Lens.
