This is a suburb of Cape Town called "Bo Kaap" (upper cape) found on the slopes of table mountain near the city centre. It is a major tourist attraction and essentially a muslim community with significant historical relevance. I took the image on a Saturday in the early after noon around 12.30 pm after waiting a couple of hours for the sun to be in the right position so as to enhance the shadows and brightness of the coulours. I waited until most of the residents were away at midday prayers so the street was fairly clear. I used the Fujifilm XT4 with the 90 mm XF fujifilm lens. ISO 160; 1/160 s' f16 (hand held)

Imagine this at sunset or blue hour! Though the high noonish light makes for some interesting shadows that you may not get later in the day..

Yeah Brad, Because of the location of these houses the sun falls on the other side of the mountain around 4pm so it would be a dull light. Early morning possibly but that would depend on the time of year due to the city centre high rises being inline between the sun and the houses at that time. Again long shadows.
