During the fall, from October through December, we get some of our best sunsets here in southern California. The majority of the year, the skies are mostly blue and cloudless, or sometimes hazy because of smog/air pollution.

I shot this panoramic after our first storm of the year (which is really more like a light rain when you compare what our weathermen call a storm to what you'd see in other states), when there was a break in the clouds before the evening rain. It's a series of images that were later stitched together in Photoshop. I'll also edited out some of the people on the beach so they wouldn't detract attention from the sky.

Shot in RAW format on a Nikon D750 with a 24-120 f/4G lens (which is really not my favorite lens since it isn't quite as sharp as my prime lenses), at 1/1000 sec, f/8, and ISO 800.

Amazing shot of this sunset. You didn't blow too much of it out, which is hard to do sometimes. But you've captured this so well. The stitching of the panorama is wonderful from what I can see. There's some detail in the shadows still. And that small pop of teal/cyan in the Ferris Wheel is wonderful. Really enjoy this image.
