The basic description of the shot is a model posing in the dry lake bed south of Las Vegas Nevada. Lighting from Profoto 7b strobe with Plume Wafer 100 knocking down the ambient light but not completely overpowering it. The raw image was already satisfying, but this version shows some toning and vignetting from Nik Analog Efex.

The broader story is that the model is one whom I first met as a teen model on a knitting craft book that she actually wrote and was published by one of my clients. Fully 10 years late we reconnected with her as a fully grown model and actress. We traveled from LA to Las Vegas and shot in a few different locations. This was one of my favorite images from the two-day shoot showing her strength from dancing and martial arts background in addition to her natural beauty. It was the finish of a long day that took us to 3 different locations.
