I loved how the clouds and sky looked on this day, and I wanted it to be more of an environmental portrait. I did have my AD600 break, so I had to switch to my AD300 and a 34" octabox. Because I didn't have as much power on such a bright day, I had the modifier fairly close to the subject and actually had to remove it with photoshop. Since I needed the full power of the flash again, I chose f/8 as my aperture instead of high speed sync.
