Two adult wild boar sows are captured in a forest clearing, with one of them nursing a few-day-old piglet. This shot was the result of over four months of preparation, involving extensive observation of their habits and gradually conditioning them to the sound of the camera shutter and flashes using trail cams.

Capturing this from such a close range would be impossible in person due to their keen sense of smell, so I utilized a DSLR camera trap. The setup featured a Canon EOS 6D triggered by a broken infrared sensor beam through a dedicated transmitter and receiver system. The camera operated with pre-set manual focus, while a trigger in the hot shoe fired two remote Nikon flashes, also manually pre-configured for the scene.
