Does the room above my garage count as a "location?" I invited the concertmaster of our local orchestra over so I could practice slow sync flash. Key light: FJ400 TTL -1, Other light: FJ400 TTL -3 steady on. Nikon Z7ii, Nikor Z 28-70mm 2.8 lens, 55mm,3 sec, f 3.5 ISO 50 Front curtain sync. I had her hold a pose and then start playing her violin as soon as the flash went off.

Wonderful portrait! Love it. In your portfolio you say: "I would like to become confident in posing and composition." Yet it is your obvious imagination that is on display here. Creativity will take your photography places where rules of composition leave off. Dreamers make the best photographers.
