Shot at one of the first local boat races of the season with a Nikon D500 and a Tamron 35-150mm. This was shot at 42mm to ensure i got the entire boat in the shot and at f/17, 1/50th of a second to make sure it wasn't overexposed while also allowing the water and background to show the sheer speed of the boat as it moved past close by. As I was on a near-blind corner, I had to play it by ear, listening for the roar of the engine as it got closer before firing away the shutter, following along in a panning motion, hoping for a sharp enough shot of the boat.
