My personal project is closely connected to two of my passions: historical reenactment and headshot photography.

Professionally, I photograph people’s faces. In my free time, I recreate and explore the realities of the early medieval era. This project brings those two worlds together by documenting the people who take part in one of the largest Slavic and Viking festivals in the world, held every year on the island of Wolin in Poland.

Here you can see the portrait of a jeweller who crafts authentic pieces of jewellery based on archaeological finds. The ornaments he wears are also his own creations. Be honest, he looks like real life Odin himself.
