An EF-5 tornado rips through mostly open fields in North Dakota. This tornado was only visible when briefly illuminated by lightning and at it's biggest was just over a mile wide. This was the first EF-5 tornado in the United States since 2013 and this tornado would kill three people. Shot on a Nikon Z6III with a sigma 14-24 mm art lens at 24 mm, 1.5 sec exposure. Parts of the foreground was darkened significantly in post to remove the sections prairie grass illuminated by my headlights.
