Serendipity:
Theres a uneasy tension in this image that I can't quite define: I've been photographing Lake Balaton (Hungary) for 15 years, and it never ceases to amaze me how many faces it has. Just when you think you've seen it all, it shows another. This entry occurred on a sunny Autumn afternoon with an awe inspiring (and simultaneously terrifying) storm cell approaching from the west and engulfing the entire 50mile lake. The image barely has any edits done to it - I removed a telephone line and added a touch of clarity to the water, other than that it only has a very basic raw processing done to it - the scene looks and feels exactly like it did irl.
Captured with a D850 + 24-70 2.8. Needless to say, it is part of my One Lake, 1001 faces portfolio.
