Smartphones seem to be advancing at a much quicker pace than conventional cameras are. Companies are consistently trying to find solutions to problems and issues. The battle to perfection continues and Asus seems to be pushing towards this goal with their latest smartphone
The Asus ZenFone 6 seems to be packing a whole lot of features. The most notable feature is the camera and how it can swivel back and forth. This has allowed the company to produce a camera with virtually no notch on the front screen. The phone does not require a dedicated front facing camera because the rear camera can simply swivel to the front. I think this is an incredible feature because you have no compromises in quality. Most cameras that are currently on the market offer a flagship camera on the rear and the lesser camera on the front screen.
Popular YouTuber Marques Brownlee discusses the new camera features and demonstrates how the swivel works. I think this is actually quite incredible for a number of reasons. The thing I'm really interested to see is how this could help with producing moving shots while filming. I wonder if the swivel movements could be used to mimic the look of a slider or a fluid tripod head.
