A few years ago, I reviewed the Hasselblad H6D 100c, and one of my biggest complaints was the lenses. This is not the case with Hasselblad's X1D system. Every XCD lens I've tested has far outperformed my expectations, and now, I've found the best portrait lens I've ever shot with.
For many photographers, a good 85mm lens is the perfect portrait lens. Personally, I find that lens a little too long, and I prefer a slighter wider lens. Unfortunately, the only wider option available from most manufacturers is a 50mm lens, which I find is just a little too wide. This is why I absolutely loved shooting with the XCD 80mm f/1.9 lens from Hasselblad. Being that this is a medium format lens, the field of view it produces would be very similar to a hypothetical 65mm f/1.5 lens on a full-frame camera.
The results this lens produces are simply incredible. The detail it's able to capture even when shot wide open truly put it in a league of its own. This is without a doubt the best and sharpest autofocus portrait lens I've ever shot with.

Thank you, Usman! Great lens indeed. You caption about "best" made me think what is the "best".
So in my ideal world it would be...
Solid glass and lovable x1d2 design make it an exciting option, but hardly the best. Best I guess would a combo: body from Hassi, autofocus from Sony, true 16bit global BSI shutter from the future, Lens from Leica, processor and rear screen touch interface from Apple, post-processing options from Adobe, reliability from Nikon, AFON - touch sensitive button from Canon, Internal SSD from Zeiss, weather-resistance from Oli.
What do you think guys?
Difficult and probably would require a lot of time but not impossible.
If you have to spend $34 K for slow focus then your your standards must be quite low.
It’s around 10k for this system but still pretty expensive.
10k for a prime lens, please, what are you smoking. Sure it's probably great, but 5 mm difference! You have feet use them, walk back or forward. I'm so sick of these articles trying to get you to buy all this high end equipment you don't need. I'm sure you were paid for this article. I find it quite useless. Sure there's a place for this, but not in my gear bag unless you send it to me for free! That's my rant for the day.
Look at the size of my channel. Do you really think a company would pay me money to review something? Come on, seriously think about it.
It’s against the law to not disclose any sponsorships. If it’s not for you then fine but sit and make false accusations without knowing the first thing.
Also it’s not a 10k lens
Finally, using your feet to zoom isn’t the same as zooming because of changes in perspective.
You got so much wrong.
10k for the system, mate. if you only want it for free, then you seriously undervaluing it or your time. why would you even bother to have something for free? good stuff always come at a certain price.
