Is the Osprey Transporter Duffel Bag the Best Wheeled Non-Camera Gear Bag?

Can the Osprey Transporter Wheeled Duffel 120L stand up to being dragged all around the world (including Antarctica) by an adventure film crew?

I just returned from Gabon in Africa, and as always, the first thing I did was evaluate what gear worked and did not work for me. I do this so I can streamline my kit but also make life on the road easier. This trip, it became apparent I needed a better solution for packing my non-camera gear, especially my hiking pack. I travel a lot with climbing gear, camping gear, outdoor props, and all kinds of fitness gadgets. Depending on the trip, some of this gear can start to be too much. Duffel bags have been my go-to, the North Face Camp Duffel, specifically. However, it is just getting too heavy and difficult to carry with all my camera gear bags.

The Crew over at 1iOpen Productions have had similar problems, and thankfully, have done all the testing for me. If anyone puts their gear through some of the toughest environments, it is The Crew, so I know if the Osprey Transporter is holding up for them, it will work perfectly for me.

In their review, they cover all the reasons other bags have failed and why they settled on the Transporter. The big selling point for me is the wheels. Most of the time, I just need to get my gear through the airport and then to a hotel, especially when I travel with my hiking pack. Then, I repack the gear for hiking and leave the bigger bags somewhere safe. Not needing to carry another bag over my shoulder is exactly what I'm looking for.

So, what do you think? What gear bag are you a fan of?
