POV Portrait Shoot in the Rain With the Nikon Z8

Manny Ortiz is well known for his urban portraiture on the streets of Chicago, and this time, the windy city becomes the rainy city, as he captures some beautiful portraits of his model, Elizabeth, with the new Nikon Z8.

Manny Ortiz sets the tone immediately by making his audience aware that he wants to capture motion blur with these portraits in the rain on the Nikon Z8 and that it's almost "wrong." Ortiz is making use of an ND filter so he can keep the shutter speed slow and maintain the aperture of f/2.8 with the Nikon Z 28-75mm f/2.8.

Ortiz provides helpful tips on what focus settings he finds best in order to track the model and also great composition/ and posing tips which allow the model to appear more natural and powerful.

The video is filmed in a POV perspective, which I always find interesting, as it gives the viewer a great look at what the photographer sees when composing their images.

Towards the end of the video, Ortiz summarizes how it was to shoot with the Nikon Z8 and 28-75mm in the rain. He confirms that there were no issues, as he expected, and that the lens does have a weather-sealing gasket, which is perfectly fine for this situation.

All you need is an amazing model. Also, getting shoots these days is like dating. If they dont like how you look well....ehehehehehehe

Not with that attitude.

No one is going to want to shoot with an old sourpuss:
