A Review of the Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens

For many years, the 16-35mm f/2.8 has been the wide angle zoom lens of choice for many photographers in various genres who shoot with Canon equipment. Canon recently released the RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS for R mount mirrorless cameras. Does it match the quality of their other RF lenses? This great review answers that question.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost Photography, this helpful review takes a look at the new Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM lens. So far, Canon's mirrorless lenses have been lauded for their impressive optical quality, and along with that, the new 15-35mm f/2.8L adds two new features beyond its EF predecessor. First, it extends to 15mm instead of 16mm, and while that may not seem like much, at such wide angles, that's a horizontal angle of view difference of almost four degrees, making a substantial difference in composition and what you can fit in the frame. Furthermore, the RF version offers image stabilization, something photographers hoped for for years on the EF version. Altogether, it looks like a great step forward in the wide angle zoom category. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts.

"Huge" doesn't even describe it. But, I know I'm getting it via trade-ins and the blood bank. So, I'll stop complaining.
