So far, Canon's mirrorless lenses have been lauded for their impressive optical quality, and along with that, the new 15-35mm f/2.8L adds two new features beyond its EF predecessor. First, it extends to 15mm instead of 16mm, and while that may not seem like much, at such wide angles, that's a horizontal angle of view difference of almost four degrees, making a substantial difference in composition and what you can fit in the frame. Furthermore, the RF version offers image stabilization, something photographers hoped for for years on the EF version. Altogether, it looks like a great step forward in the wide angle zoom category.
