Introduce Yourself To The Group!

Welcome to the Official Fstoppers Fashion Photography group. Introduce yourself!

Let me get the ball rolling. My name is Peter House. I am a Toronto based commercial fashion photographer. I mostly work on the product and catalog side of things, but I also shoot a fair bit of editorial. I also run one of the more popular rental studios in...

Elle Fanning- movie poser

I saw this photo of the beautiful actress Elle Fanning and I liked the lighting. I tried to figure out the lighting pattern but I ended up being confused. it looks like it either a Rembrandt or butterfly lighting, but again the shadow is not very obvious, at least to my eyes!
can anyone guess what sort of lighting setup was used ?

Cait's Long Legs

When I saw Cait I knew I wanted to feature her long legs. I asked her to bring something with a slit for our shoot. When I saw this duster I knew we were on the right track. What do you think.

Help me categorize/label my niche?

Hey folks,

I am a pretty new photographer (a few months in), I studied it after school fora few years, then sort of abandoned it to pursue a career in another creative field, and I am sort of returning to it after a 20 year departure. One thing I see a lot about is finding your niche, and committing to it.

I had no way to reach the original photographers. Images are from Pinterest . Thank You

Colourful Retro Fashion in Brighton

We were out and about shooting a loosely themed 90's fashion shoot in Brighton and came across this amazingly colourful shop with seating outside - had to have a play with it!

The main purpose of the bubbles was to make full use of the 3D effect of a Nimslo 3D film camera we were shooting with (I attempted to attach the GIF here but it...

Blaise Maree with 3 Colored Gels

One of my favorite ways I love shooting in my studio is with coloured gels.

We had shot a magazine editorial and usually these can take a bit of time from the shoot to the actual publication of the images.

In this particular case we decided to do a quick 'addon' to the editorial so the whole team had something to post before...
