Now that I know about "Picture Control" and have a monochrome world in my EVF, I'm noticing how some images are much more interesting without the color.
Good one, Jim. Indeed, even as someone who rarely does mono, I suspect the mono version of this is far better than a colour one would be. I'm fine with the tonings, but there could be several versions that work. I've tried doing what Broken suggested as far as is possible from the posted jpeg, and the result was different but no better. I like the composition, which is quite subtle, not just a random mass of glassware.

Here's a 'flatter' version. I still prefer the original, I think it has more of the mood of a tacky bar liquor cabinet.
