One of my favorite flowers - it is photogenic alive or spent. Being the lover of black and white that I am, this version works for me. It is elegant and mysterious. love it!

Subjectively, the flower head is a warmer colour than the slightly glowing area around the lower part of it. Did you process them separately, or is it an illusion?
It is an illusion! I did less processing than you might think. The flower was bright, the background uniform and dark. The conversion to black and white with some tweaking and got this.
