a minimalist effort to capture a "cold" look
the branches of the Rhus typhina have these fine "human" like hair on it. with the sun setting it backlit these and at first i thought if was an icy layer ... but zooming in realised it was a layer of hair - look like if the branch had goosebumps from the cold .
would like to know if this can be seen as minimalistic / fine art or just another photo of a branch :) - please spare no words/comment
Hey Marius. I love the backlighting of the first, which really highlights the hairs you speak of.
I enjoy the color gradation of the second, but I think that one suffers due to the static composition and the general lacking of the lighting that works so well for the first.
thank you Alan. yes the 1st one is the favorite. on the 2nd one i just thought that the contrast of the top and bottom of the hair on branch with the gradient backlight was giving a nice feel to it dark hair/light backing vs white hair vs dark backing
Hi Marius. For my interest was checking for another possibility. Invested a little brightness to the tip making it complement the top bright background. A little sharper also to hold the attention. I think i liked it.
Thank you Vijay. Appreciate the time spent on this .and the feedback
