will need to go back to this spot and redo it (need to get permission to go onto the property as this was done about 100m out from the road) but was pleased with the sun litting up the snow on the branches . the backdrop is a small forest with its shadows isolating this small tree perfectly.
comments appreciated ...
Hi Marius. Just Supurb.
Since the bottom white has important role, you may want to give it edge definition, thus taking the vision back in the frame. at present the whites merges with outside and attention loses out.
this is my opinion.
A very good frame for me, overall.
cheers.
Thank you Vijay... guess a framed print would do the trick :)
Hi Marius.
I like the concept, but for me I am losing the tree, especially where the background changes from black to white. I think it may perhaps help if the background were lighter so we could see more definition in the tree.
There also seems to be something funky going on with the intersect between snow and background.
I love the idea and think the image has solid potential if you could clean it up.
Thank you Alan, Yes need to get back to the spot ... was the -17C (-27w/wind) morning and i was lying down for this shot so not perfect conditions . the thin gray line is actually the tree-line’s shadow - but i will go back and setup the tripod and make sure im warm :)

I hear you Marius. This is a location I had visited on a number of occasions but could never get the shot I wanted. That was until a large snowstorm hit the region - the trip was treacherous but the result worthwhile.
I think you just have to find your right moment and you'll have a killer shot on your hands.
thank you Alan for this excellent share ... yes i will make an appointment with the tree again when the light is right
