Looks like a successful interplay of the baroque and sinister diagonals. You may have to tell me to eat a bag of carrots, but it appears the 'bulb' of the bloom is resting on their intersection, which really does good for this composition. I like how the 'spikes' , stem, and the blurred bulb create an unbalance.
The bad news: the jury is still out on the blurred bulb. My first reaction feels it's a distraction. It pulls my eye from the center which reminds me of a city under siege. (Sorry, too much WWII history bouncing around inside my skull.)
The longer I study the composition I feel like the center is strong enough to hold the viewer's attention. It tells a story of a failing world meeting its fate.

Again, nice job.
Thank you again for detail feedback. Much appreciated !
I agree with John. Even before reading his comments my immediate reaction was one of the eye being pulled down and out of the frame.
I have tried cropping, which I feel works a bit better for me (and understand it may not work for others).
