I took inspiration from some of the sports images I've seen on FS to produce this image. Not necessarily to replicate but more to see what I could come up with and possible apply it to future shoots. You can probably tell but those are the blinds of my living room slider - I placed two gelled flashes outside to shine in. One RapidBox to illuminate me. I chose purple as that is the color of the Oculus brand.
I present this as just experimentation and would love your thoughts as this is something I haven't tried before.
I really like this effect! One thing I would take a look at as you continue to experiment with this is making sure that your angle does leave any "leaks" between the blinds. On the left side there you can kind of see through the blinds.
Just a thought, but really like the result you got. Keep experimenting!
I appreciate your comments! I think from here I'll more than likely move away from the blinds and try a more permanent portable DIY solution.
