So I posted these photos a few days ago and to my surprise they are getting some bad scores. I don't know if people here are utter dicks by nature or simply don't care to help others learn, but blindly scoring users photos low is a sign of sheer ignorance in my opinion. Whenever I score a photo I try to post even a single sentence why or what I like or dislike about the photo. I would sincerely wish that F-Stoppers implement a mandatory opinion system. Clicking on these ridiculous stars is totally useless. It yields absolutely nothing. If I was a professional photographer I could care less, but as an amateur I would like the community to help me grow, develop skills, learn. As it stands this system does the opposite and it actually is making me think of giving this community a big fat "bye bye" as it has nothing to do with professional photography community. I get a whole lot more actual comments from users on Flickr and 500px than here. I would really like the folks running this site to chime in on this issue.

Most of us get those ratings. I think the fact that you can upload a dozen diverse photos and someone will come through and rate all a one or all a two shows that they're not taking it seriously or they're just serious about trolling. I think both these shots are good.
The first one is a little dark which I think causes the hair highlight to be distracting. Possibly it looks fine against the dark grey background of lightroom and photoshop and is just dark against the white of fstoppers. The contrast between her and the background is great, I think it could just use a little bit more overall exposure. With that addressed I'd definitely give this a 3. Also her expression seems to have a hint of "I'm done holding this pose," but still for the most part looks natural.
The second one is near perfect, just I think she's just close enough to centered that some would be bugged by her not being centered.
Przemek, I took a look at your profile and the other photo similar to #1 (the one you're using as your banner photo) is just straight up stunning. I think with a nudge on the exposure, and possibly some adjustments to better match the other photo from the set, this can be an easy 3
Thank you Matt, that is exactly what I would expect from a member of this community. I appreciate your time in writing your comment very much. Wish everyone was as responsive. Thank you :)
