I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

I am new as well... and I see you are into sports. Very nice area. Your pictures are good! Is always a matter of taste and i apollogise for saying my opinnion. But for me, lights are too harsh for a first, and then I would like to see more of the environment! I did a few as well and was very challenging...
They all appeal to me, the first most for style, probably the mono effect. There is one observation I would make and that is cropping. Two shots are missing part of the subject or in the case of the last one it has some dead space to the right that adds no value. That said, it's a very good start, I would think about composition, maybe look at some of the other work here or at some obvious professional examples on the web.
