A Conversation With Former White House Photographer Pete Souza

Pete Souza has had the career of 10 photographers, and he shows no signs of stopping. Hear from the master himself in this 80-minute interview full of fantastic content.

Coming to you from CreativeLive, this excellent interview with Pete Souza is well worth taking the time to listen to. Souza is by far one of the most famous photographers of modern times. He has worked with numerous major publications, such as National Geographic and Life Magazine (and the full list is stunningly long), but of course, you probably know him for being the Chief White House Photographer for not only President Ronald Reagan, but President Barack Obama as well (where he took an astounding 1.9 million photos over 8 years). Beyond that, he has also authored multiple books and is Professor Emeritus of Visual Communication at Ohio University. Needless to say, his thoughts are well worth listening to, and there are lots of gems that can help photographers in all genres within his words. Check out the video above for the full interview (it starts at 4:45). You can see more of his work on his website and Instagram. His new book, "Shade: A Tale of Two Presidents," is available here
