The Basics of Landscape Photography in 15 Minutes

Landscape photography is a popular, fun, and fulfilling genre that allows you to enjoy the outdoors and challenges your photographic technique and creativity. If you are new to the pursuit and wondering how to get started, check out this great video tutorial that will show you all the basics you need to head out and start shooting in just 15 minutes.

Coming to you from First Man Photography, this excellent video tutorial will show you the ins and outs of landscape photography in 15 minutes. If you are new to the genre, you should consider purchasing an ND filter and a polarizing filter. These are certainly not necessary to create landscape images, but they enable some creative shots that generally would not be possible otherwise. The ND filter cuts down on the light entering the lens, allowing you to create long exposures in which clouds and/or water become smooth flows, while the polarizing filter cuts down on glare, giving the sky deeper contrast, foliage more saturated colors, and water more clarity. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
