When it comes to landscape photography, being able to control and fine-tune the colors in your images is crucial to creating better edits and adding more of your personal creative identity. One effective and fun way to do that is through the use of the HSL panel, and this helpful video tutorial will show you how it's done.
Coming to you from Jim Nix, this great video tutorial will show you how to use the HSL panel in Luminar AI to take better control of your editing (you can use Lightroom or Photoshop for this as well). HSL stands for "hue, saturation, and luminance" and essentially allows you to fine-tune individual colors, including their brightness and overall presence. This is especially useful for landscapes, as you can very quickly and convincingly make the sky pop a bit more, make grass greener, bring out more color in fall leaves, etc. It is one of those tools where once you discover it, you end up using it on almost every photo you edit. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Nix.

Love the HSL sliders since I started using them a while back (still pretty new to LR). Gives a ton of flexibility and control. I only wish you could use them in conjunction with the gradient or brush filters to be more precise in an image and isolate the impact to a specific area. Other than that they are really powerful.
