Lightroom's new AI Denoise feature has been monumental step forward for the program, but it also enters the market at a time when there are numerous highly advanced noise reduction applications. How good is it? This great video takes a look at the new feature, including its performance and how to use it on your own images.
Coming to you from Photo Genius, this fantastic video takes a look at the Lightroom's new AI Denoise feature. Anyone who has used the application for a while knows that its noise reduction capabilities often lagged far behind both the rest of its features and the competition's, which is what makes this new feature such a major step forward. While it is arguable that some other purpose-specific programs still outpace Lightroom in this arena, the feature has still been a major addition to my workflow simply for its convenience. I strongly prefer staying in one application to complete editing if I can, especially if I am working on a large batch of images that all require similar edits, and as long as a feature's results are good enough for the photo's purpose, I'll generally choose the convenience most times. That has been the case for Lightroom's new denoising capabilities thus far, at least for me. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
