Frisky Elephant Seal - Piedras Blancas Rookery

Along California's Scenic Coastal Highway 1, you'll find a pull off area that provides free viewing of Northern Elephant Seals in their natural habitat. Just North of San Simeon you can view from an elevated platform / walkway these magnificent sea mammals, moulting, fighting, breeding, giving birth and raising their pups, depending on the time of year.
