The Amazing Flexible Neck - Great Egret - Pismo Beach California

I believe this to be a Great Egret and I took this ones image at Meadow Creek, which flows from Pismo Lake to the Pacific Ocean. I had just been to the Monarch Butterfly Grove and was testing a Nikon AF-S VR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED lens, which was used for this image.
I am fascinated by how flexible their necks are, especially when they demonstrate maneuvers like this!
