On this morning, a hummingbird was enjoying this vibrant Bottlebrush. I had been patiently trying to get a photo, but found them a bit uncooperative, constantly moving about at their lightening speeds. I was handholding a Nikon D500 with the AF-S 200-500mm lens, all the way out at 500mm, (effective focal length = 750mm on the APS-C sensor). Patience for the WIN! I was pleased to get this image, minimally edited with Capture One 23.
