Once home to an estimated 1,400–1,500 rivers, the country now has only around 700–800 due to natural changes and shifting river courses.Traveling by traditional wooden boat remains one of the most beautiful ways to experience Bangladesh, though these magnificent vessels are also disappearing. Despite floods, droughts, and cyclones, the people of Bangladesh continue to live in harmony with the rivers. Their resilience, courage, and ability to adapt to nature's challenges reflect the enduring spirit of the country's riverine communities.
