Copperfield

This is a site where raw materials—perhaps iron ore or something similar—were once stored, located near Brussels, Belgium. The material gave the scene its color, while recent rain added some interesting surface details. I specialize in artistic industrial photography, and while preparing for my 2024 trip to Belgium, I found this location on Google Maps. It turned out to work just fine, and the absence of direct sunlight helped avoid excessive contrast. Shot with a Mavic 2 Pro and edited in Lightroom. I don’t recall any specific challenges, apart from birds circling the drone and heavy rain that started on my flight back.
