Burg Eltz

This is Burg Eltz! The incredible and fantastic castle in the woods of Germany, situated between Eifel, Moselle and Rhine. This was one of my goals to photograph, when I had my last 5500 Km! road phototrip to Europe November last year. Some more photo bucketlist dreams became fullfilled. This incredible castle, never destroyed during many wars, has been owned by the same Eltz family for almost One Thousand years! During a long drive into the countryside, and a walk through dens forest, suddenly this real fairytale castle shows up beyond a bend. Imagine if you was travelling on a pilgrimage or exploring or something in Germania from a far, let`s say in the year 1200 something.. then this huge castle appears around a bend, and you immediately get spotted by the watch towers! Then you hear loud aggressive shouting from several men, and banging and clanging of metal weapons getting ready.. coming for you.. Edited in Lr & Photoshop to get my style.
