Back at Praia de Campelo, the tide was lower on my last visit, but this time I was determined to work with the water hitting the rocks. Instead of focusing on the sand textures as before, I went searching for rocks that could anchor the scene — and I found one just in time for golden hour.
I knew I wanted movement, power, and the sea crashing against the stone. So I waited, face to face with this rock, as the sun slowly descended to the horizon. Just as it aligned perfectly, splitting into a radiant sunstar in the edge of the cliff wall, a wave broke with force in the foreground.
For a brief moment, everything came together: the light, the motion, and the raw energy of the ocean. This is exactly the kind of frame I return here chasing — water, sun and stone speaking in harmony.
